Great Day on the Water
June 27, 2010
On this trip Roy Roscoe & I headed out to the Beech Hill Lake area, It was my first time in the area but for Roy it is back to his stomping grounds. We started by paddling around West Beech Hill Lake. It was a quick trip around so we headed to Beech Hill lake and up to Whites lake while there we checked on some of the camps in the area to make sure there was no damage and can let the owners know that all is well. On out way out we stopped at Little Pug Lake, It is a small lake down a fairly steep hill from the road. This is one of several lakes in Shelburne that is very difficult to access and for now I am going to considered it visited if not paddled, I may change my mind later and drag a canoe down to it but for now I have a long list of other lakes to visit. There are several other lakes in the area to visit but they are behind a gate owned by Bowater so I will have to wait to return to the area.
All in all a great day on the water.
